How To Give Yourself A Body Scrub At Home

How To Give Yourself A Body Scrub At Home

Body scrubs are a great way to keep your skin healthy and beautiful. Body scrubs work by exfoliating the outermost layers of dead skin cells, revealing softer, younger cells just below.
Here's What You Need To Know About Body Scrubs

You can get a body scrub (also known as a salt glow or body polish) as a spa treatment, or give yourself one at home.

Body scrubs at the spa are more thorough because the therapist works longer and gets into areas you can't reach easily, like the middle of your back.

The therapist might use special equipment like a Vichy shower to rinse you off. And it's usually combined with an application of lotion or short massage.

Sit on the edge of your tub and moisten the part of your body you're going to be scrubbing first. (I usually start with my lower legs.)

Put a little bit of body scrub in the palm of your hand and rub it gently over moistened skin.

Work about a minute in each area. If you go too quickly, you don't get the full exfoliation.

Don't scour too hard or too long!

Once a week should keep your skin baby smooth.

Don't give yourself a body scrub while the shower is running. The scrub will just melt away.

You can buy a nice body scrub or make your own.

Never use a body scrub on your face!
